What if my pet's food arrives thawed?Updated 22 days ago

Our cooler boxes are designed to keep your pet's food cold, not necessarily to keep it frozen solid. We don't expect that your delivery will always arrive completely frozen (with either 2-day shipping or overnight shipping) as this depends on a lot of factors, like transit time, how far your shipping address is from our kitchen, the outdoor temperature and the time of year - however, we always expect it to remain cold. If your pet's food ever arrives warm, please contact us immediately and do not feed to your pet - we'll be sure to make things right.

If any bars are thawed or partially thawed upon arrival, don’t worry – they’re still safe to feed to your pet!  As long as the food is cold when it arrives, rest assured, it’s safe for your furry friend to enjoy as the cooler box will have kept the bars as cold, if not colder, than your refrigerator. 

Additionally, thawed bars that are still cold can be refrozen without affecting the nutritional quality of the blend. All of our recommendations for storage, thawing, and refreezing are based on USDA guidelines here

To limit the amount of time your pet’s My Perfect Pet food spends outside your refrigerator or freezer, if you’re not sure you’ll be home or able to retrieve your order right away on delivery day, we recommend utilizing FedEx Hold at Location to hold your order for pickup at a convenient location near you. For more information on this convenient option, click here. Overnight shipping is also available for an additional charge.
